International Women Artists' Salon Event

CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN ARTISTS IN NYC
Thursday, March 8th, 2018

Dixon Place presents a celebration of international women artists from history and the here and now on International Women's Day.

New York-based women artists pay homage to a woman artist from their chosen homeland, representing more than 25 nations in tribute to women's artistry across the globe. This year includes a small visual art exhibition that runs during the month of March.

A multi-disciplinary event, including monologues, songs, dance & commentaries, celebrates the legacy of cultural riches created by women around the world & sustained today by international women creatives living in The City of New York.

Working with The OPTimistiks theatre collective, the International Women Artists'
Salon looks forward to its 7th collaboration with the League of Professional Theatre Women and their International Committee as well as dozens of other independent artists, from all disciplines.

Salon sYmphoNY first found its voice in the Lounge at Dixon Place in 2012. Seven
years strong, the chorus of women's artistry from around the World has graduated to the DP mainstage, inviting more people than ever to join the celebration.

Dixon Place is the venue for the event on Thursday, March 8th, doors open for mingling
in the Cocktail Lounge at 7pm; mainstage begins at 7.30pm for a 90-minute showcase (no intermission) with mingling and celebrating in Dixon Place’s Lounge thereafter; for all who are inspired by women artists.  Add your favorite woman artist to our IWAS Wall of Honor!
